You can follow the password recovery procedure found at this Cisco Community post. This procedure assumes that password recovery has not been disabled. If it has, then it is not possible to recover the password. In this case, a new image and backup configuration must be loaded if available. Otherwise, a fresh install must be made.

I will test it next week on the equipment, and I will try “no service password-recovery” for disabling the recovery either.
