Old man here!

Hi folks!

I was some kind of networking pionier in the early 90‘s.
After moving to sales, a big disaster happened.
Now I want come back to the roots and want to know more than in the early days.
I think this is a great site with great people.

Cheers, Hannes

Hello Johann

Once a network engineer, always a network engineer eh? We’re glad to have you with us, and we hope the site will be useful to you in your journey back to your roots. And if you have any questions, you know where to find us.

Looking forward to seeing you on the forum!

Welcome, @hannes.1967.hiller !

One of the advantages of networking is that many of the basics don’t change much. IP, switching, routing, etc. You’ll see a lot of familiar stuff and learn some new stuff along the way.

I wish you good luck getting back up to speed :sunglasses: If you need any help, you know where to find us

Oh, it’s so nice from you all!
My English is not so good, but I will do my best.
Interesting is, that I had a Nortel Router Certification, but today after doing a lab I know more about BGP as during my career…:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
