Recommended Lab equipment for Cisco CCNA

Hi Laz,

Thanks for getting back. I figured out the issue. Every time I want to console into a new device I have to unplug the cable from my mac book. It’s not a seamless experience but does the job.

Hello Ben

Yes, the Cisco 1921 router should work as a suitable replacement for the 1841. In fact, the 1921 is a newer model and typically offers better performance and more features than the 1841.For the purposes of your CCNA studying, it’s perfect.

I hope this has been helpful!

Hi Rene, what do you think about the Cisco 1900 series routers? Thinking of getting 2.

Let me know.

Hello Watson

The 1900 series of routers is a good choice for CCNA. They support most of the required features that are covered by CCNA, and buying used devices can be quite economical. There are various models that support a range of technologies including VPNs, Wi-Fi, and routing protocols from BGP, to OSPF, to EIGRP.

I hope this has been helpful!

Appreciate your response @lagapidis. Thanks!
