Cisco ISE basic concepts

Hello. Been great joining the group.

I have a job interview coming up and I was wondering if there were any good resources on here that cover Cisco ISE.

It is the 2nd interview, and I was told in the first to study Cisco ISE for the 2nd interview.

Not really needing to learn to navigate through it. I just really need to know the basic concepts of Cisco ISE. Thank you.

Hello John

It’s great to have you with us in the group! I hope you’ve been finding the lessons and the forum useful!

We don’t have any lessons on Cisco ISE, however, there are some good resources on the Cisco site. I know it sounds a bit obvious, but in general, if you want to find out about a particular technologies offered by Cisco, and you want to get a general overview, Cisco Datasheets are quite good. You can read as in depth as you would like. Take a look at this for example:

It gives you the product overview as well as some details about customer advantages, features, and integrated solutions. If you want to find out more about platform support and compatibility you can read on. If you want to go more in depth into configurations and so on, you can look at the “for more information” section.

Another good source is Cisco white papers. These are examples of how the product has been used to solve particular real-world problems. You can find some here:

If you would like Rene to include a lesson on ISE, you can go to the members page below and make a suggestion. It probably won’t be in time for your interview :stuck_out_tongue: but you may find that others have made similar suggestions, and you can add your voice to theirs.

I hope this has been helpful!
