In this particular lesson, Rene has simply described how to set up the MQC traffic shaping example. He didn’t actually run any traffic through the shaper in the lesson. However, you can run Iperf on many different platforms, (either VM or otherwise) to do such tests. Take a look at the following lesson for an example of how it has been used:

Actually, you can also install it on a Cisco IOS-XE device as well, since it is also based on Linux.
