I am trying to test multi-region MST and I’m having issues pinging between the regions.

SW1 Questions:

  1. What does the type “p2p bound (RSTP)” mean?
  2. What does the port role “bound” mean?
  3. “No shut” done on all VLAN interfaces, why will only one come up and the others are administratively down?




SW2 Questions:

  1. What does the type “p2p bound (rstp) pre-std-rx” mean?
  2. What does the port role “master” mean?




SW3 Question:

Why is this the only switch with port type “p2p”?




I can ping between all my vlan interfaces on SW2 and SW3, but my vlan interfaces on SW1 won’t come up, except one.
