Hello Rene,

thanks for updating the website with the new CCIE topics. I can’t see any PPP or PPoE in the exam topics. Has the topic been removed from the new lab exam?

PPPoE is not explicitly stated that it is included in the exam. However, you must always keep in mind that the CCIE assumes that you are completely familiar with the topics involved in CCNA and CCNP level certifications. In addition, for all exams, Cisco generally states the following :

The following topics are general guidelines for the content likely to be included on the exam. However, other related topics may also appear on any specific delivery of the exam.

So there is no guarantee that PPPoE or related topics won’t appear, but they are not considered to be central to the certification exam.
