Problem with my device

Hello Everybody,
I bought a switch 3750 and I configured an IP address on it. I also configured:

SW1(config)#line console 0 
SW1(config)#password cisco
SW1(config)#login local

after that, I reloaded the switch. then It asked me the “Username” I don’t know why. I need help

Hello Dembele,

When you use the login local command you tell the router/switch to use the “local database” for authentication. You can add a username and password like this:

username MY_USERNAME password MY_PASSWORD
