A very useful command to be sure but I have not been able to find a way to clear the statistics shown via this command. Clear Counters does not appear to do anything and 30 minute search on Google has turned up nothing. Thoughts?

these statistics cleared only when the interface is down because this command show you the present statistics at the moment that you pressed enter, so you can not clear these statistics, in other words these statistics change dynamically incremental or decremental depending on the traffic and congestion of particular interface.
