Snmp auth priv question

Hi

I have a question regarding snmpv3, with the auth priv enabled does the username and password get hashed and sent over from the agent to the manager prior to diffie hellman being run or is diffie hellman run first and a symetric key decide upon then the hashed username and password is encrypted went sent to manager?
