I am working on trying to find the perfect solution for a link failover. My idea is to use HSRP or VRRP since we are using multicast heavily but would like to hear feedback. My setup is as follows:
VLAN 100 > Data Link > VLAN 200
VLAN 101 > Data Link > VLAN 201
The need is to have data go down both VLAN 100 and 101 and, if one of the data links fails, all of the data will go down the other with no interruption. My idea is to configure HSRP or VRRP on all four of the data links. What do you think?
