IP NAT inside source vs IP NAT outside source

You can actually choose any IP address you like, as long as the rest of the internet (your ISP primarily) knows how to route to that IP address. It doesn’t actually have to be on the same subnet as the real outside interface IP address. Take a look at this NetworkLessons note for more information.
